UK outlook for Wednesday May 15 to Tuesday May 28

ANOTHER fine, sunny day with temperatures above average climbing up to 24 – 25 °C. Some cloud bubbles up here and there with a very small chance of the odd shower over Western Scotland and Northern England. A brisk breeze over the Channel Isles and parts of Devon and Cornwall.

Thursday will be mainly warm and dry again with sunny spells. It will turn more changeable from Friday onwards with a mixture of sunshine and showers; some perhaps turning heavy.

Sunday could bring showers, these turning heavy in parts, with a small risk of thunder. Some longer spells of rain will spread throughout the country. Central areas generally drier before showers develop in the afternoon.

Temperatures will be close to or rather below average at first, especially in the east, but it will get a little warmer as we head into next week.

The changeable conditions are most likely to continue through to the end of the period, with showers at times, but also drier and brighter spells. More settled be across the north.
