Where is Riverdale season 4 set?

The fourth series of Riverdale will once again be set in the fictional town of the same name, based on the Archie Comics series.

So far, it has not been revealed where the US the town of Riverdale is situated but is most likely to be fictional.

Season four will pick up from the huge cliffhanger of season three, when Archie (played by KJ Apa), Veronica (Camila Mendes), and Betty (Lili Reinhart) were seen burning their clothes in the woods, trying to hide something before anyone found out.

Betty was spotted destroying Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) hat, prompting fears that something sinister had happened to him.

Speaking to PopBuzz, Cole Spouse said: “I think there’s a lot of potential and a lot of interesting narratives this season in the form of FP [Skeet Ulrich] and Jughead teaming up and playing the True Detective crime investigator father/son duo.

“I think there’s something really enjoyable about Jughead being the brain and FP being the brawn of that investigation.

“That’s something I’d personally like to see going into season four.”

Fans will be hoping to find out in the season premiere tonight if Jughead is still alive or not.

The new series will also pay tribute to Luke Perry, who played Fred Andrews in the show.

Perry passed away in March 2019 and the first episode will begin with a special tribute to Perry, featuring his 90210 co-stars Shannen Doherty in a guest role.
