Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) put his best foot forward in season five’s show-stopping musical episode. With just ten episodes of the Netflix smash hit still to come, are the devil and his friends getting ready for one last encore before Lucifer’s final curtain?
Some new stills from the upcoming final season of Lucifer have teased more musical madness is on its way to Netflix for the show’s final episodes.
The crime-solving devil and debonair nightclub owner is often found entertaining his guests with stirring renditions of popular songs in Lux.
His vocal talents finally came into their own in season five, thanks to some celestial interference from his visiting dad, God (Dennis Haysbert).
Now the highly successful streaming series is getting ready to air its last outing, fans should expect some more musical moments to come their way.
A set of images from the sixth episode of the series has sparked speculation that season six could feature another jukebox musical special.
Although Lucifer has performed the odd number in the past, his friends and family finally joined in during the second episode of the new season, ‘Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam’.
After defeating Michael and inheriting God’s omnipotent powers, Lucifer will undoubtedly have some fun with his newfound ability to alter reality at will.
One scene in particular from the sixth episode of season six has confirmed the show will feature at least one more musical number before bowing out in September.
The new images feature Lucifer prominently in a sparkly white dinner jacket surrounded by back-up dancers.
They seem to confirm Lucifer still has the powers of God midway through the final season, and has orchestrated an elaborate musical performance.
One shot sees the devil belting into the microphone surrounded by a group of showgirls handing him red roses.
Even though the devil and his girlfriend Chloe Decker (Lauren German) had their concerns about taking over as the Rulers of Creation, Lucifer is having the time of his life in these new stills.

Then again, there’s also a chance he’s given up his abilities to start a new life as a mortal, and is simply having one last blow-out before embarking on a new adventure.
Unfortunately, the title of the episode in question, ‘A Lot Dirtier Than That’, doesn’t seem to provide any hints.
No plot details have been divulged so far, though the first look has confirmed this instalment will contain at least one sampling of Lucifer’s impressive vocals.
However, it has been confirmed the episode will be directed by Claudia Yarmy and written by co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich.
In addition to co-writing the season five finale with Joe Henderson, Modrovich also penned the script for this year’s ‘Karaoke Jam’.
‘Lucifans’ will certainly want the series to run through its greatest hits before the show finally comes to an end.
Whether or not that includes another hour of classic pop tunes will be revealed when Lucifer releases its final ten episodes in just a month’s time.
Lucifer season 6 will be released on Friday, September 10 on Netflix.
