ED Sheeran couldn’t resist the opportunity for a good selfie with football legend David Beckham as they got ready to watch the Euros together.

As England prepared to play against Germany in the latest heat of the tournament at Wembley Stadium, Bad Habits singer Ed was quick to sweep in and say hello to his old pal.

Beckham, who was looking refined in a three-piece grey suit, was spotted shaking his hand as they went to take their seats.

The pair were in quite the company as well – with Prince William, Princess Kate and their eldest son Prince George were sitting just a few rows in front of them.

While Sheeran was joined by his wife Cherry Seaborn at the event, the three Royals remained stoic as they joined in on the cheers and applause for the team.

Elsewhere in the stadium, another joyous reunion was taking place between David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, whose 90s smash hit Three Lions has become the unofficial anthem for the England football team.

The duo were seen in the stands and shared a selfie as they crossed their fingers for England potentially coming home.

Beaming as they shared a hug, Baddiel wrote: “So…it’s been a while since we were here for this particular fixture.”

The intense game in the last-16 fixtures for the Euros 2020 is a major one for England, who need to beat Germany in order to get through to the quarter finals.

Since beating Germany to win the World Cup back in 1966, England have lost four times to their rival country in major tournaments.

Their stats from previous games are competitive too – with out of their 33 games played against each other, they almost match in terms of wins and losses.

Germany is currently getting the higher numbers with 15 wins, with England not far behind with 13 wins. The remaining games were all draws.

Germany have not lost a single one of their last seven games played at Wembley and are on quite the winning streak – but Gareth Southgate’s England team have the whole country behind them.
