EastEnders fans have been left ecstatic following a recent episode which saw the iconic former couple of Kat Slater and Alfie Moon reunite with a kiss, just days before Kat's fiancée Phil Mitchell is set to return to the square.
Alfie made his return to Walford earlier this year, and since then has been vying for ex-wife Kat's affections, and even tried to put a stop to her wedding to Phil.
His latest scheme saw him trying to get Kat cast as Snow White in his Christmas pantomime, which she originally refused.
However, after Honey, who was set to play the role, fell ill after being given a laxative, Kat had no choice but to step in, although she did refuse to share a kiss with her ex-husband.
Instead, Karen ends up being the one to kiss Alfie on-stage, although it true EastEnders fashion that's not the only kiss of the night.
Following the success of the pantomime, Kat and Alfie take a walk through the square together, with Alfie choosing this moment to pour his heart out to his ex-wife.
He told her: "From the minute you walked into that pub till now. I've built my dreams around you. I always have and always will. If you're not in my life then I don't have a life and I'm not me. I'm not me Kat without you."
He added: "You're me fairytale. You're my princess. You are the one that I love."
Kat then leaned in to kiss Alfie, the pair then began to kiss rather passionately, before Kat broke it off and ran off.
As they watched the scenes play out, fans were quick to share their thoughts on social media, with one writing: "#eastenders omg please god Kat and Alfie get back together."
A second fan tweeted: "Kat and Alfie are endgame, as the youngsters say #EastEnders" while a third added: "I don’t care that that was cheesy I’ve been living and rooting for Kat and Alfie since DAY ONE so I am beaming #eastenders"
However, not everyone was a fan of the reunion, with one displeased viewer writing: "#Eastenders please stop the whole kat and Alfie thing it’s so boring…just stop same old story!"
While one viewer worried about the message sent by these scenes: "Ik kat and alfie are probably gonna get back together at some stage but i just don't like the way they went about it doesn't send out a good message tbh #EastEnders"
Similarly another asked: "Are Kat and Alfie gonna get back together, even though he is technically been stalking her? Oh ok is that the message unnu send #EastEnders"
