Coronation Street real-life couple Sally Carman and Joe Duttine have celebrated their three-year anniversary with a sweet photo of a romantic day together.

Sally, who plays Abi Franklin on the cobbles, posted a photo to Instagram showing herself with her fiancé and co-star Joe (Tim Metcalfe) in the hot tub, captioned: "Three years."

They were congratulated by plenty of their Corrie pals, with Sally Ann Matthews, who plays Jenny Bradleyl commenting: "I mean, who couldn’t love that face x."

Sally Dynevor, who plays Joe's on-screen wife Sally, sent a series of emojis blowing kisses, while their actor friend Kate Magowan posted a line of hearts.

The loved-up couple may be celebrating a happy anniversary, but their romance has suffered a setback recently as their forthcoming wedding is one of many delayed by the pandemic.

During a recent appearance on Loose Women, Sally she explained their decision to cancel their December date and put off the big day by a year.

She said: "I think, personally, I'm not sure where we are going to be in December… The way things have been dealt with.

"So I didn't want tp risk arranging a wedding… We want to have a party so if there's only 15 people allowed to come to that, it's not great really. So I thought it was best we defer it for a year and hopefully get the wedding we want."

Corrie fans have seen Sally featuring in a heart-wrenching storyline recently as her character Abi's son Seb (Harry Visinoni) was brutally murdered in a gang attack over his girlfriend Nina's goth appearance.

Nina, Abi and her friend Asha have been trying to bring Corey Brent to justice as they believe he was responsible for Seb's death.

The trio recently hatched a plan to drug Corey and go through his phone looking for evidence, but it went horribly wrong when he tumbled down a flight of stairs in confusion and ended up in hospital.

Abi was then faced with the difficult decision of whether to leave him to die like Seb, or call an ambulance – and get help for her son's attacker.

Corey is still trying to claim that he tried to help Seb as other members of the gang attacked him.
