Celebrity MasterChef returned to screens to show the best of British stars showing off their cooking skills and Chris Eubank’s appearance was once again quite something.

The former boxer, who was joined by Gareth Malone, Cliff Parisi, and Mel Blatt, whipped up various dishes including fish and chips and basil pesto and pasta from scratch (albeit with quite a lot of help).

However, the focus was less on his food and more on the intriguing comments that accompanied it.

Ahead of first challenge, Chris predicted he’d do better than all the other contestants, declaring that they ‘complain’ too much.

‘You’re here, so let people see your light,’ he urged.

Chris quickly ran into challenges, but he wasn’t fazed. Asked if he was scared to use a pasta maker, he responded: ‘Once you’ve been smacked in the teeth by Nigel Benn, you’re quite used to fear.’

“I can see the taste with my eyes”

Perhaps his most questionable quip came when judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace asked him if he’d tasted his pesto before serving it.

Chris confidently replied: ‘I can see the taste with my eyes.’

Despite the star frequently saying he felt ‘stupendous’ about his dishes, he was sadly eliminated after receiving a lot of help with his cooking.

Safe to say fans were in stitches after watching him, with one saying: ‘Chris Eubank saying ‘I can see the taste with my eyes.’ I’M F**KING DEAD.’

‘Chris Eubank is killing me,’ another said, while one more added: ‘Chris Eubank on #masterchef is the gift that keeps on giving.’

it’s not the first time Chris has provided some TV gold on MasterChef, previously stunning the judges and viewers with a tinned corned beef dish.

Celebrity MasterChef returns Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.
