BRITNEY Spears' father Jamie is being investigated for allegedly abusing her 13-year-old son, claim US reports.
According to TMZ, the singer's ex Kevin Federline filed a police report at the Ventura County Sheriff’s station accusing the 66-year-old of being involved in a "physical altercation" with their eldest son Sean.
The site has claimed that the former backing dancer has accused Jamie of "breaking down a door and grabbing" the teen in an heated exchange.
Sources told the publication there were "no visible bruises or injuries" on Sean, although Kevin saw the incident, that happened a week ago, serious enough to warrant a report to the police with his lawyer.
Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan told People: "Britney did the right thing and removed the children and took them out of there.
He added that Federline still wants his ex-wife to have "continuing and meaningful contact with their mother." The Sun Online have contacted Jamie Spears for comment.
Following the claims, Us Weekly have claimed that Sean, 13, and Jayden, 12, have been granted a restraining order against their grandfather.
The news comes a day after it was revealed that Britney had adjusted her child custody arrangement with ex Kevin, which will see her getting less access to her sons.
According to TMZ, the singer's former husband has been granted 70% custody of their children while she will have only have 30% unsupervised custodial rights.
Previously, the former couple shared custody of their boys 50/50. However as of August 28, Britney, 37, and Kevin, 41, formalised their new arrangement.
Despite their updated agreement, the site claimed that the couple's 70/30 custody split has been in place since August 2018.
Sources close to the site said that the past 12 months were a test period to see how the boys would adjust to the new arrangement.
Britney married Kevin in 2004 and welcomed two sons with the backing dancer before they separated in 2007.

The reports come months after Britney's father was back in hospital following complications from surgery on a ruptured colon which almost killed him back in November.
At the time, Britney cancelled a number of her Las Vegas residency shows so that she can focus all of her energy on caring for her family.
