TOTTENHAM stars are reportedly living in fear boss Antonio Conte could QUIT if he cannot bring in reinforcements this month.

The Italian only took over in N17 in November last year.

But he is desperate to add to his squad in the January transfer window as Spurs battle for a top four finish.

Top of Conte’s list is a striker to help lighten the load on the exhausted Harry Kane.

Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a big-money move to North London – but Arsenal hope it will be to them rather than Spurs.

And Conte could see another top target head to a different London rival as he pursues Adam Traore.

The Wolves’ flyer is also wanted by Chelsea, with the Blues thought to be ready to trump Spurs’ £20million offer.

Such stars won’t come cheap and Conte is understood to have had a frank conversation with chairman Daniel Levy about the need for funds.

Now Football.london reports certain players are worried the manager will pack it in if Levy refuses to splash the cash.

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes recently suggested the 52-year-old could take over at Old Trafford when interim boss Ralf Rangnick moves upstairs.

Conte was linked with the vacant Red Devils hotseat after the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last year.

But United bigwigs decided to install the German tactician as caretaker until the end of the season.
