OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER reckons Manchester United can still land the best players in the world.

The Red Devils have been on a steady decline since Sir Alex Ferguson retired and many believe the club has lost the allure it once had.

But Solskjaer who has pulled off two impressive back-to-back wins against Tottenham and bitter rivals Manchester City disagrees.

Speaking ahead of United's Europa League clash with AZ Alkmaar on Thursday, the Norwegian stood firm.

He said: "Agents might not want to [go to United] but players will do.

"I don’t speak to too many agents.

"United are the biggest and best in the world and I’m sure there’s so many players in the world who want to be part of the rebuild.

"Our players and fans enjoy our football and opposition players will like to be part of it as well."

Recent reports suggested United are ready to offload Paul Pogba to Real Madrid or Barcelona in order to bring in two midfielders and a striker.

Jadon Sancho has been a Red Devils target for some time and the move edges closer and closer after the young winger fell out with his Borussia Dortmund boss Lucien Favre.

Leicester's James Maddison is also hotly tipped as one of the playmakers to come in.

And Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez is also a favourite of Solskjaer's in midfield.

Saul remains a target after United were braced to make their move in the summer.

The 25-year-old has a contract at the Spanish club until 2026 and it is believed Atletico wouldn't even entertain an offer lower than £128million.
