NAPOLI have contacted Liverpool over the availability of right-back Nathaniel Clyne, according to reports.
The Reds are open to selling if they receive an offer in the region of £15million.
Clyne, 28, lost his way under Jurgen Klopp and fell third in the pecking order behind Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez.
He was shipped out on loan to Bournemouth in the second half of last season.
The defender was a key figure for Eddie Howe's side playing in 14 of the club's 17 Premier League matches.
And now Italian giants Napoli are ready to take advantage of his situation at Anfield.
Reported by journalist Neil Jones, he claims that the Serie A side have made an approach to Liverpool to land him this summer.
But they are set to face competition from Liverpool's Premier League rivals.
West Ham and Bournemouth are both interested in landing Clyne who has just one year left on his remaining contract.
Napoli, managed by Carlo Ancelotti, are also targeting Tottenham's Kieran Trippier but fear they could be priced out.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is open to selling the right-back but would want in the region of £30m.
Napoli have already seen a £17m bid rejected.
And Clyne remains the cheaper option for the side hoping to boost their squad ahead of next season's Champions League.
