The Hannon family have won the Richmond Stakes seven times in the past and I think we could be looking at another victory for them in the form of Threat (11/8). I was very impressed with his run at Royal Ascot in the Coventry Stakes. Indeed, it could be argued he was unlucky to finish second having being very slow away, but the manner in which he ran on impressively to finished ahead of the field on the unfavoured stands' side really stood out. I reckon he deserves another chance to reward his supporters.
Jalmoud (6/1) looks a very lively runner in the third. This represents a drop in class after he finished third behind Japan in the Group 1 Juddmonte Grand Prix De Paris on his latest outing. He's getting weight from the top two in the market and ticks all the boxes for me in a first time hood.
My final selection today is in the form of the dual Group 1 winner Hermosa (7/4). This race will certainly test her stamina but judged on her previous runs, she's crying out for the step up in distance.
