“The honeymoon’s over,” or so the saying goes. But whathappens in a marriage when the honeymoon period never even happens?
For Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, that was the unfortunate reality of their circumstances thanks to their elevated status in society. Though the Duke of Sussex is currently sixth in line for the throne and unlikely ever to see it, he’s still an extremely popular member of the British royal family. People are obsessed with following his every move.
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle had a decent following of her own, plus it was a novelty that Prince Harry was marrying suchan unlikely person. As a bi-racial American divorcee, Meghan Markle was aunique addition to the royal family, to say the least.
Did it hurt their relationship being thrust so violently into the spotlight? Some royal experts say yes.

Prince Harry is not a huge fan of paparazzi and makes no secret of that. But his disdain doesn’t stop relentless photographers from capturing every move the Duke and Duchess of Sussex make. Now that they have a new baby together, the fixation is even more intense.
