Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry announced in January 2020 that they would step down from being senior members of the royal family. The couple now resides in Los Angeles with their young son and is taking further steps to become more independent financially.

However, while the representatives for the royal family often deny that there is tension between the Sussexes and other royals, onlookers have noticed something surprising happening on the royal family’s website. Could it be a sign of a snub from the royal family towards Meghan?

Meghan Markle’s biography on the royal family’s website was recently shortened

As pointed out by The Sun, Meghan’s biography was recently changed on the royal family’s website. The “About” section used to contain a lot of information about her philanthropic work and her dedication to humanitarian causes, but it has since been shortened. Now there are only a few short paragraphs mentioning her family life and her departure from the royal family.

The Sun also noted that, under the “Career” section, which talks about her acting work prior to becoming a royal, Meghan is no longer referred to as “Her Royal Highness.” Instead, the website now calls her “the Duchess” or simply “she.”

Meanwhile, Prince Harry’s and other royals’ biography pages remain largely unchanged.

Ever since Meghan joined the royal family in 2018, there have been countless rumors about her not getting along with her royals. For example, many fans believe she may have had a feud with Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. Additionally, there were even reports that Meghan clashed with Queen Elizabeth over tiaras before her wedding day.

These feud rumors became exacerbated after Meghan and Harry stepped down from their roles in early 2020. Some people believe the tension between the Sussexes and their rest of the royal family was a reason behind their decision.

In any case, the royal family has long denied the existence of tension between the Sussexes and everyone else. For example, after “Megxit” occurred, Queen Elizabeth released a statement on Instagram to share her support for Meghan and Harry, saying she “recognise the challenges they have experienced” in the past year.

Is Meghan being snubbed by the royal family with the website change?

Since Meghan’s biography was the only one that saw huge changes, onlookers are no doubt wondering what it means for the relationship between her and the royal family. However, there is no evidence that this is a snub towards Meghan.

According to The Sun, a spokesperson for the palace did release a statement about the changes. The spokesperson said, “The Duchess of Sussex’s current biography is on the Royal website alongside other members of the Royal family. You will appreciate that the website is updated on a regular basis to reflect the work and focus of members of the Royal family. Any updates are agreed with private offices before they are made to the site.”
