SHE'S the queen of craft and DIY projects, so it comes as no surprise that mum-of-four Stacey Solomon is the go-to for savvy festive hacks.

With Christmas just a few weeks away, the team at Fabulous takes a look at some of her favourite tips and tricks to transform your home – and they won't cost a fortune.

DIY giant baubles

Earlier in November, the Loose Women star, 33, demonstrated how to make your own giant baubles using…. children's footballs.

The craft whizz uploaded a video on TikTok revealing the steps to her 1.8million followers – and we're sure you'll love the idea just as much as her fans do.

Stacey began by taking a Peppa Pig and a Paw Patrol ball and spray-painted them in cream and brown, her chosen colour scheme this year.

Once the toys were almost dry, she set off to decorate them with loads of glitter for a more glam look.

To make the top of the decoration, take a gold paper cup, cut the top off and then cut slits along the bottom.

“I’m going to cut a load of slits along the bottom, fold up every other slit and cut them, so then it’ll look like the top of a bauble.”

But don’t chuck away any bits of the cup, as Stacey continued: “Use the rim you cut off before as the handle bit.”

The rest is quite self-explanatory – simply put a bit of glue on the parts that stick out and press them onto the huge decoration.

Stunning Xmas decoration for a fiver

Looking to spread the festive joy, the X Factor star demonstrated how you can transform a couple of sticks and some sparkly cloth into an eye-catching display perfect for the living room.

For this, grab 12 wooden sticks and glue them together into the shape of a cube.

Once assembled and the glue's dry, use the hot glue gun to attach the sparkly material of choice all over the DIY cube.

For those feeling extra fancy, Stacey also advised to complete the project with a stunning ribbon – this will give it a more gift-like appearance.

In her tutorial, the thrifty mum-of-four cut a small hole for feeding in a set of Christmas lights.

Christmas tree hack

Decorating the tree is one of the most exciting times of the year.

But sometimes it seems almost impossible to make a sparse Christmas tree look full without going crazy with decorations and ornaments.

Fortunately, Stacey's also got a solution for this; one she revealed on Instagram.

"I literally just get a cable tie and thread a few baubles on it.

"You can put as many as you want on but I usually do about three or four – and then Leighton will put them on his tree and literally just do this."

The crafty DIY fan then pulled the cable tie tight, attaching it to the tree branch in the process.

"That means they go in a little cluster and it covers more of the tree," she explained.

Paper snowflakes – perfect for kids too

Nothing screams Christmas more than finding your inner child and carefully cutting out paper snowflakes – it's the easiest way you can instantly add that festive feeling with almost no effort at all.

Uploading the easy tutorial on TikTok, Stacey instructed: ''You need about eight or ten to make a big one.

''You just put some glue on each paper bag and stick one on top of the other.''

After her son Rex, three, had put them all together, Stacey cut the top corners off and then cut out two small triangles on both sides.

''When you open it up, it will look like a proper snowflake,'' the mum exclaimed, showing just how excited her son was.

To complete the project, simply hole punch the two sides together and feed in a string – a voila, you just created a stunning snowflake for just pennies.
