Celebs Go Dating has left fans divided as The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks returned to the dating agency for his third appearance on the show.

The popular reality dating show made it's return to E4 on Monday 28 November evening, with the first episode seeing Pete once again go to experts Paul C Brunson and Anna Williamson for their matchmaking skills.

Prior to making his return, Pete joked: "I can't keep away! I’m back! Last time I was at the agency I inadvertently found a bromance with Sam Thompson.

"This time I’m back to hopefully find a woman that will date me… here’s hoping!"

And while some viewers were excited to see the TV star make a return to their screens, others were less than impressed at his re-appearance on the show, with fans on both sides of the divide took to social media to let their views be known.

Posting to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Why is Pete wicks back on celebs go dating does the man not have a job he’s clearly there for banter looool"

Another sharing the same sentiment, added: "Why is Pete always on celebs go dating, at his big age still getting help to find love on tv shows. Fs come on mate."

And a third posted: "Pete Wicks making the rounds again (yawn) He is so yesterday. He is wasting a space of someone who is genuinely looking for love."

However not everyone was annoyed at the reality star's return to the show, with one fan joking: "Pete Wicks is going to be in Celebs go Dating again… I'm available to date him."

And another Twitter user penned: "Pete Wicks really is so beautiful," with a third writing: "glad #petewicks is gonna be back on our screens."

The Essex native first appeared on the show in 2019, but was unable to find love. He then returned to the agency during the show's virtual series in 2020, and while he had a few matches he was ultimately unsuccessful in finding anything long-term.

Despite being set to appear on Celebs Go Dating, Pete previously told OK! that he's happiest as a single man, as he claimed: "No dating for me at the moment, I'm focusing on myself."

Continuing, he insisted: "I only have room for my two dogs at the moment. Eric and Peggy are all I need."

Pete has had a number of on-screen romances during his time on TV, including the likes of ex's Jess Wright, Megan McKenna and Shelby Tribble, as well as gal-pal-turned-friends-with-benefits Chloe Sims.
