A SAVVY mum made her son's dreams come true when she transformed his bedroom with fake grass.

While her son was at school the creative parent installed a carpet of soft plastic grass in his bedroom.

Kerrie Hopkins, took to Facebook to showcase her handywork to the DIY on a budget official group.

She said: "My lad wanted false grass so while he's at school I did. He love textures on his feet. He will love it when he come home."

The grass matches perfectly with the blue dinosaur theme already installed in the room, with dinosaur wallpaper, bedsheets, blinds and posters.

Fellow DIYers loved the design with the post totting up more than 1.4k likes.

One said: "Made me smile! I hope he loves it!!"

Another added: "Ahh, bet he was well chuffed when he got in, nice one!"

To which Kerrie replied: "Awww he was shoes off toes in-between it all!"

The mum also shared where she made the purchase from. She said: "2 rolls for £50 from Home Bargains the cut off piece jus for a tiny bit under bed. It's a small box room."

But if you're worried about how you clean the outdoors-indoors installation, then don't be – apparently it's very easy to hoover!

And this mum completely transformed a shabby Wendy house she got second hand with some old paint and charity shop bargains.

Meanwhile this dad-of-three made an incredible playhouse for his kids which includes a garage and private lawn – and it cost just £150.

Plus this mum made a stunning keepsake out of her new baby cards using £4 frames from The Range.
