Not only has Julia’s Grandma passed down her vintage nighties and dresses, she has also imparted some useful information on how to store your clothes while ensuring they smell fresh for longer.

With this hack, not only will your clothes and garments smell amazing for as long as “20 years”, but it will only cost you 80p.

Julia shared her "grandma preservation hack", saying: "How grandma stored her laundry."

She said: "Anyone else rip out those magazine fragrance testers and shove them in your drawers to keep your clothes smelling nice? I did up until a few months ago.

“I was over at Grandma’s house, she was putting on her lingerie and she pulls out this bar of soap.

"I was like 'why do you have that in there?' and she said: 'oh honey, you didn't know? That's how you keep your clothes smelling nice.'"

Julia continued: "Apparently if you take a nice neutral wrapped bar of soap, this one is lavender, but you can use cotton or whatever, it will last 15 to 20 years.
