After taking time out to focus on its collaborations with adidas Originals and Arsenal football club, 424 returns to its own divisive sneaker silhouette to present the new green rubber-dipped high-top in black.

This classic sneaker is made from premium black leather and sports elements such as a perforated toe, waxed laces, an ankle-fastening strap, and a red-and-black leather tongue tag. However, the Guillermo Andrade-helmed label switches things up with the use of rubber, hand-dipping the shoe into a vat of green slime to give the pair an aesthetic fit for a dystopian future.

Its look is raw and unfinished, with the slime laying thick on top of the leather and dripping down the sole unit. Once set, the rubber forms peaks and swirls that bunch up under the sole.

424’s latest rubber-dipped high-top sneaker in black can be purchased now from stockists including LN-CC, where it retails for $840 USD.

In other news, Grateful Dead and Chinatown Market have linked up on a pair of psychedelic Crocs.
