Former escort Helen Wood is set to open up on her tryst with Wayne Rooney in a new tell-all book – but she insists she’s not writing the memoir to rub salt in the wound.

Back in 2009, Helen was one of the two escorts who had a threesome with Rooney when his wife Coleen was pregnant with their first child, with the story being sold by the other escort, Jenny Thompson.

Now, Helen, 32, is giving her side of the story – although wants everyone to know it’s not about Coleen.

She told new! magazine: ‘I’ve had such an eventful life, even before all the Wayne and Coleen stuff, that I knew it would make a great book. And trust me, this whole thing isn’t about Coleen. I’m sick of hearing that f***ing name.’

Helen has remained in the public eye ever since her escort days, even going on to win Big Brother in 2014 and returning for a controversial guest appearance the following year.

And she claims that the Rooney association has followed her every day – hence why she’s choosing to tell her story in A Man’s World.

The mum-of-one said: ‘People keep asking me why I’m dragging it up again – I’m not. I’ve had to learn to live with this. I can’t just get over it because I get reminded of it on a weekly basis.

‘I can’t have a relationship. I’ve been single for years. I can’t go on a date because men just see me as the Wayne Rooney escort. Yes I chose that job, but I didn’t choose for the story to come out.’

The reality star promised that her memoirs will have a lot more stories than the Wayne tale, saying: ‘I’m not gonna write about something that’s gonna bore people to death – and Wayne is pretty boring. There’s only so much you can say about our encounter.’

Coleen, 33, stayed with footballer Wayne, also 33, following his infidelity, and they have gone on to have four children – Kai, 9, Klay, 6, Kit, 3, and one-year-old Cass.

The couple have been together since they were 16 years old, and tied the knot in June 2008; Coleen and the children moved to Washington last year as Wayne signed to DC United.

Helen’s book A Man’s World is out 3 June.
