Lucy Mecklenburgh has shared the baby name her fiancé Ryan Thomas originally wished their newborn daughter to have before they decided on Lilah Rae.
The 30 year old revealed it to fans during a Q&A on Instagram Stories after one follower asked about the reason behind choosing it.
Lucy welcomed Lilah in May and also shares two year old son Roman with Ryan.
The follower praised the former TOWIE star’s daughter’s name as they described it as “really unusual” before asking about its origins.
Lucy responded: It's been on my very long list for ages. Ryan loved Delilah. We had a few names we tried but this one stuck! I also love the meaning."
The mum-of-two came to a compromise with fiancé Ryan as they shortened the name and announced it on Instagram last month, finally letting fans know four weeks after their daughter’s arrival.
“Yay!! I finally have a name!!!” Lucy captioned at the time, as she ended it with: “Lilah Rae Thomas.”
She added that Lilah means “delicate” in Arabic and Hebrew, as well as “night beauty” following her explanation.
Lucy and Ryan had 15 options they’d listed as possible names for their daughter, but wanted to wait to meet her before deciding on what they should call her.
Lucy’s original baby name reveal comes as she enjoyed a hen do over the weekend.
The star posted a photo of herself looking radiant as she showed off her summer’s outfit which consisted of a purple and white gingham maxi dress, white flat sandals and a straw shoulder bag.
Lucy previously discussed what it was like giving birth to her second child with fans, as she described the experience as "really positive and calm” and “so special."
She said: "It was quite quick and so special. I was in for 5 days after I had Roman so to get out in 6 hours felt sooo surreal!"
Lucy thanked the NHS and her midwife for helping delivery her baby safely and went on to open up about how she’s been coping being mum to two children under the age of three.
The star likened the process to a “military operation” as she described what it had been like following her daughter’s arrival.
"Feels a bit like a military operation sometimes but me & Ryan just work as a team,” Lucy wrote.
“I'm breastfeeding, changing etc baby girl and Ryan's changing, bathing, feeding & playing with Roman."
