Kate Ferdinand shared a sweet Father’s Day tribute to her husband of nine months Rio on Instagram on Sunday, marking her first post since announcing they’re expecting their first child together.
The former TOWIE star, 29, looked as radiant as ever as she proudly cradled her baby bump while posing alongside the former footballer, 41, who also has Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, nine, from his marriage with late wife Rebecca Ellison.
Expressing her gratitude towards the pundit, the mother-to-be penned: ‘Happy Father’s Day to you. you are the best daddy to Lorenz, Tate & Tia ….(& Ronnie [their pet dog]). Can’t wait for our next chapter. Let’s celebrate you today.’ (sic)

The couple appeared to be preparing to ring in the occasion with a family lunch as they stood in front of their dining table, complete with placement cards.
Sportsman Rio also joined in on the festivities by thanking his ‘suave’ father Julian for ‘being there when I’ve needed you’.

The blonde beauty captioned the announcement with: ‘The crazy house is about to get a little bit crazier … every time I watch this it makes me cry, the best reaction. Baby Ferdy we are all so excited to meet you.’
Father-of-three Rio also posted the same clip, adding: ‘We got our wish, another Ferdinand en route!! @xkateferdinand I can’t wait to go through this whole pregnancy together and then bring our little human into this world. The reaction though.’

Kate has reportedly been suffering with bouts of morning sickness and thinks she is carrying a baby girl.
A source told The Sun: ‘Everyone is deliriously happy. Kate’s pregnancy has made everyone beam with joy.
‘She’s had a rough few weeks, but couldn’t be happier. She always wanted her own children with Rio, and to grow his existing family. Everyone is so excited.’

The announcement comes after the TV star recently detailed the incredibly awkward chats she has with her stepchildren about sex earlier this month.
Kate admitted that Lorenz, Tate and Tia are not afraid to question when the couple will grow their family, with one even asking: ‘When are you going to do it again?’
The fitness enthusiast confessed that while the couple would love to welcome their first kid together, lockdown has halted their baby-making plans due to a lack of ‘quality time together’.

Kate, who previously confessed her parenthood journey hasn’t been the easiest, said the youngsters are incredibly comfortable with their family dynamic, so much so that they even ask about when she and their dad get hot and heavy.
The ex-reality star told The Sun: ‘Conversations have got a bit graphic with the kids. They’re saying: “When are you going to do it, then?” It’s so funny.’
She also spoke about motherhood on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast earlier this year.
Kate said: ‘I said to Rio say if we have a baby when they get to five I’m going to be great. I know what I’m doing but that baby stage I don’t know. The kids talk about having a baby all the time.

‘I said “Rio I’ve never changed a nappy, I’ve never had children!” I think [having a baby] will bring us all together, tighter, closer as a knit.
‘It’s weird because when we’re in the house and it’s us five, I feel like their mum and I know I’m not their Mum and we all feel the same. I just feel like they’re my children. It’s a normal family.’
She added that she’s always wanted a big family, she continued: ‘I always thought I wanted a big family but I’d never thought think I’d get it this way.
‘It’s just mad when I think about it. I thought I’d have a big family but with three step kids and them losing their mum I never saw it being this way.’

The reality star embarked on a relationship with the athlete in 2017 and stepped back from TOWIE to become a mother figure for the trio, after his first wife, Rebecca, tragically passed away from breast cancer in 2015.
Rio proposed to Kate in November 2018 after almost two years of dating and the couple filmed a similar video to their baby announcement.
She accepted a romantic rooftop proposal from the sports legend during a family holiday to Abu Dhabi.
He popped the question in front of his three children after the former footballer was given the blessing of his late wife Rebecca to find love again.
The couple tied the knot less than a year later with a romantic ceremony taking place in September 2019 at the luxurious D Maris Bay hotel in Turkey.
