It’s a big day for Archie Mountbatten-Windsor! Not only was he presented to the world by his parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but he also met Queen Elizabeth II. The new royal had a cute encounter with his great-grandmother as she dropped by Windsor by for a visit with Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The couple shared the sweet moment on Instagram, which featured Meghan holding their little one as Harry, the Queen, Prince Philip, and Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland looked on with smiles. Of course, Philip had a bit of an early peek at the new baby, as during the short interview at St. George’s Hall, Windsor, Meghan told the press, “We just bumped into the Duke as we were walking by, which was so nice.”
Archie will be busy meeting lots of family members over the next few weeks. Kensington Palace announced in a press release, “the Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news.” With Prince Charles and Camilla currently in Germany and William and Kate in Wales, there will be a few more exciting visit days ahead for Meghan and Harry. Meghan said, “It will be a nice moment to introduce the baby to more family. And my mom is with us as well.” We’re sure Archie has had lots of cuddles with his grandma Doria Ragland over the past few days, which Meghan described as “magic” and “special.
