Istanbul: Turkish officials say they have captured Hakan Ayik, wanted in Australia, and 36 others who were involved in an “international armed organised crime organisation”, including some sought by the US and New Zealand authorities.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on X, formerly Twitter, that the detentions happened in Istanbul, and the crime ring was allegedly involved in international drug trafficking and money laundering.
