TROPICAL Storm Mindy is set to bring heavy rainfall to Georgia and South Carolina today.
The storm made landfall over St. Vincent Island, Florida at 9:15pm last night.
As of Thursday morning, the storm is located about 80 miles (129 km) south-southeast of Valdosta, Georgia, packing maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour (56 kph), according to the National Hurricane Center.
Mindy is predicted to generate as much as 6in (15cm) of rainfall across the Florida Panhandle this morning along with parts of southern Georgia and South Carolina.
The NHC said some flash, urban, and small-stream floods were possible.

TROPICAL STORM WARNING FOR FLORIDA STRETCHING EAST

That area is about 300 miles (500 kilometers) east of southern Louisiana, where Hurricane Ida made landfall late last month.

FLOODING COULD HIT MULTIPLE METRO AREAS ON FRIDAY
Flooding downpours may hit metro areas in Florida around Tallahassee and Jacksonville, as well as Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina, into Friday.
MINDY COULD SEE MAXIMUM OF 6 INCHES OF RAINFALL
"Mindy is expected to produce storm total rainfall of 2 to 4 inches with maximum amounts of 6 inches across the Florida Panhandle into southern portions of Georgia and South Carolina through Thursday morning," the Hurricane Center said.
