A pilot who died after his light aircraft crashed in the Lake District hills on Sunday afternoon has been pictured for the first time.
‘Fantastic father’ David Bolton, 44, was flying his aircraft at Troutbeck in Cumbria when it crashed just before 3pm on Sunday, October 11.
Emergency services rushed to help but the father-of-two was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Draper – the chief revenue officer for healthcare technology firm Draper & Dash – was the sole person onboard the aircraft and there were no other casualties.
Pictures have today emerged of the wreckage. The small red and white plane can be seen on its roof in a field with debris scattered all around.

The aircraft itself looks relatively intact but the door into it does appear to be open.
Two vehicles and a small building a short distance from the crash site also appear in the pictures, which were taken today.

Mr Draper’s wife Alison Bolton said in a statement: ‘David Bolton, a father-of-two from Nottingham was tragically killed yesterday after an accident in his light aircraft at Troutbeck, Cumbria.
‘The chief revenue officer for tech firm Draper & Dash was a devoted husband, a fantastic father, a loving son and a loyal brother and friend with an appetite for life.
‘He made a huge impact on everyone he met, whether in his work in healthcare around the world or his personal life and will be truly missed by so many.
‘His family have asked for privacy at this difficult time.’

Troutbeck is a village in the South Lakeland district of Cumbria and is located three miles north of Windermere town.
Cumbria Police said in a statement on Sunday evening that a cordon has been put in place around the site.
The statement read: ‘Emergency services including police responded following a report at about 2.50pm today (October 11) that a light aircraft had crashed north of Troutbeck, between Keswick and Penrith.
‘The single occupant of the aircraft, a man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The man who was piloting the aircraft was the only person onboard the plane and there were no other casualties, Cumbria Police said in a statement (above)
‘There were no other casualties.
‘The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has been contacted and a cordon put in place around the site.’
No further details about the victim or the incident have been confirmed at this stage.
