Barkour! Ninja the collie leaps from tree to tree before running across a roof and bouncing off his owner’s back in stunning display of agility

  • Border collie Ninja shows off impressive skills with his trainer Dominik Arend
  • Video shows the talented dog leaping from tree to tree and scaling a roof
  • He then uses his trainer’s back as a stepping stone to get back down to ground

This is the incredible moment a dog shows off his parkour abilities by jumping up trees and even using his trainer’s back as a stepping stone before returning to the ground.

Ninja, a border collie from Berlin, shows off his impressive skills while his trainer Dominik Arend shouts out various commands during a routine filmed on February 12.

The video clip starts by zooming in on Ninja’s face before his trainer commands him to start his routine and he zips over to the first in a line of five trees.

He jumps up the first trunk and uses his momentum to power his jump to the next tree before jumping back to the ground briefly.

Ninja then starts on the next set of three trees, easily jumping from one to the other before his trainer shouts a command and he finishes on top of a shed.

The well-trained dog then gets down from the shed by bouncing off his trainer’s back and lands happily on the ground.

Mr Arend posted the adorable video on TikTok with the caption: ‘When you feed too many bananas’ on February 13 and it has already been viewed 26,200 times.

Last Ninja’s parkour skills have earned him quite a following on social media with more than 5.8m likes for his clips on TikTok alone.

Last year he even featured on Top Dog Germany, a six-part TV series.

Ninja has even appeared on television, featuring on Top Dog Germany last year

His previous amazing agility exercises include hurdling through a row of 11 bike racks in the German city. He was filmed completing the feat May 2020.

In the footage he leaps through the obstacles with the precision of an Olympian, his feet only touching the floor briefly between each jump.

Mr Arend runs alongside him and cheers on the parkour dog as he jumps through the bike racks.

It looks like Ninja could knock a bike slightly in his path, but it proves no match for the hound, who skilfully dodges it and continues without faltering.

Ninja is thrilled with his performance after completing the challenge, wagging his tail and barking as Dominik praises him.

And the obedient dog also likes to do more mundane tasks, like carrying his owner’s groceries home.

Mr Arend said: ‘I don’t dare come out of that supermarket without something for him to carry, no one can handle that disappointed puppy face.’
