A mother was left stunned when a hungry goanna dashed into her home and shot under her son's bed.
The lizard had been feeding on chicken eggs in the family's garden before it entered the family home, causing chaos.
Professional reptile catcher Stuart McKenzie was called to the Sunshine Coast home in Queensland to help capture the five-feet-long lizard.
In a video posted by Stuart on his 'Sunshine Coast Snake Catcher 24/7' Facebook page, he can be seen checking under the bed carefully while holding a long snake hook.
When he finds the goanna hiding at the edge of the bed near the wall, he stands on the mattress, grabs its tail and slowly pulls it out from the shadows.
The mother can be heard saying in the video: "He is a big bod, oh my gosh."
Stuart estimated the goanna was at least 1.5 metres (4.9ft) long and noticed it had a 'big fat belly'.
He eventually then put the reptile into a plastic tube.
Stuart wrote on social media: "This was one of the most memorable callouts I have been on.
"Goanna's not only can bite but they can also whip you with their tail and scratch you with their massive claws."
Stuart has been praised by web users for his bravery.
Sandra de Ridder said: "Bare legs? You're a brave man!"
John Lee added: "Well done Stu nice catch!"
