HARVEY Weinstein bragged about having "perfect timing" after allegedly raping and ejaculating on Sopranos actress Anabella Sciorra, a court has heard.

Sciorra, who today took the stand at Weinstein's New York trial, also said the movie mogul continued to torment her after the alleged incident, once appearing at her hotel room wearing only underwear and holding a bottle of baby oil.

Weinstein, once among the most powerful figures in Hollywood, has been accused of sexual abuse by more than 80 women since allegations against him first emerged in October 2017 and sparked the worldwide #MeToo movement.

The 67-year-old is currently standing trial over two allegations in particular, one that he raped a woman in a New York hotel in 2013, and another that he forcibly performed oral sex on a different woman in his Manhattan apartment in 2006.

He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and says that all sexual contact he had with his accusers was consensual.

Sciorra, who is best known for playing the character of Gloria Trillo in hit HBO series The Sopranos, alleges Weinstein raped her after appearing at her Manhattan apartment in 1993.

Her allegations are too old to be charged, but prosecutors intend that her testimony will demonstrate a pattern of predatory behaviour by Weinstein.

'HE OVERPOWERED ME'

During two hours of testimony on the second day of the trial, Sciorra told jurors Weinstein "overpowered" her after arriving at her home.

"[He] was there and pushed the door open, so I didn't have an opportunity to know why he was there," she said.

"Then he started to unbutton his shirt, and then I realized that in his head, he wanted to have sex and I didn't want to.

"I realized what he wanted was pretty obvious, so I started to back up into my bathroom.

"I felt very overpowered because he was very big."

'I WAS PUNCHING AND KICKING HIM'

Turning away from Weinstein, she continued: "He led me into the bedroom and he shoved me onto the bed.

"I can't tell you exactly when his pants came off or exactly what happened.

"As I was trying to get him off of me – I was punching him, I was kicking him – and he took my hands and put them over my head, he put my hands over my head to hold them back and he got on top of me and he raped me.

"I couldn't fight anymore because he had my hands locked."

"At a certain point, he stopped. He came out of me and he ejaculated on top of me, on my nightgown.

"He said, 'I have perfect timing'."

Sciorra said she later tried to confide to friends what had happened but felt unable to talk about it.

She said she ran into Weinstein around a month after the alleged attack and that he told her: "This remains between you and I."

She further claimed Weinstein arrived outside her hotel room at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997 wearing only his underwear and holding a bottle of baby oil.

Sciorra is the first of several of Weinstein's accusers who are set to take the stand over the course of his trial.
