AN ex-public schoolgirl threatened cops with a wine bottle as a boozy date ended in disaster.

Onlookers alerted police as they feared Hanita Dadswell, 27, would be assaulted as she rowed with her date on Valentine's Day – but when officers arrived she drunkenly ranted at them and was also arrested.

Prosecutor Nathan Palmer said: "The assault was said to have happened in the street and the police were concerned that the defendant appeared to be in a dishevelled state and highly intoxicated.

"She was swearing and was nonsensical in some of her remarks and didn't appear to understand why the police was present even though she was told they were checking on her welfare.

"Officers were keen to examine her arms and look for injuries. She said 'I do not bl***y like the police'."

Dadswell's boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of assault while she was sat in her bed and appeared very drunk, the court heard.

Mr Palmer said: "She then reached for a bottle of wine, picked it up and was going towards the officers."

The police officers were forced to wrestle the bottle from her and arrest her.

As she was being handcuffed, Dadswell continued to struggle, thrashing and kicking at the officers.

Mr Palmer said: "She continued to say various things. At one point she said 'I am surrounded by Muslims'."

DRUNK AND DISORDERLY

When interviewed by police the next day, she said had no recollection of the events.

She added: "I feel confused, I do not remember. 'I feel very bad, really sorry about what happened."

Richard Barrett, defending, told the court Dadswell has suffered from mental health problems and had been drinking.

He said: "She had been out for a meal with her boyfriend. She asked the officers to leave. It is at that point that things began to take a downward turn"

The judge, Mrs Recorder Judy Khan QC told her “You were at home intoxicated, you didn't go out on the street to assault officers…on the other hand, the officers were carrying out their duty and looking after your interests, and had the right to do that without the abuse to which they were subjected."

She was fined £185, ordered to pay £1,000 in costs, to be paid in £100 per month instalments over the next 12 months.

Dadswell admitted affray following her arrest during the tuition fee protest in November 2010 and was sentenced to a six week jail term, suspended for a year.

She first came to public prominence during the high profile student cuts protests in 2011.

She was handed a suspended sentence after she was caught on camera at the Tory Party's headquarters in Millbank, hurling missiles at officers during student protests.
