"CULT mom" Lori Vallow told people she had cancer to conceal the death and dismemberment of her two missing children, court documents say.

Idaho investigators described how Valow, 46, allegedly lied about being ill to hide Joshua "JJ" Vallow, 7, and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan's whereabouts in a newly released probable cause affidavit.

Their mom was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit destruction, alteration or concealment of evidence after their remains were found heinously concealed on the Idaho property of her fifth husband, Chad Daybell.

On Tuesday, Vallow appeared to weep when Judge Eddins referenced how Tylee had to be identified by her jawline because she was so badly burned and dismembered during her remote court hearing.

Vallow allegedly told her friend Melanie Gibb she had convinced JJ's grandmother to watch him by claiming she was suffering from cancer, as per the 16-page affidavit obtained by East Idaho News.

Gibb told cops Vallow said "she had arranged for JJ to go live with his grandma, Kay Woodcock," a detective noted.

“Vallow further told Gibb she had told Kay that she had cancer in order to convince Kay Woodcock to take JJ," the filing read.

"Vallow further elaborated to Gibb that she had traveled with JJ and handed him off to Kay in an airport.”

But it was JJ's concerned grandmother, Woodcock, who asked cops to do a welfare check on JJ back in November because she hadn't seen him in months.

Her grandson was last seen alive on September 23, 2019 at school when his mom told the principal she would be homeschooling him going forward.

Earlier that month, on September 8, Tylee was pictured during a day trip to Yellowstone National Park with her brother, mom, and Vallow's brother Alex Cox, who died last December.

Authorities alleged that Vallow, Daybell and another person(s) thought to be Cox whose phone data traced him to the Rexburg ranch burial site willfully concealed evidence relating to the children's horrific deaths.

In an earlier Probable Cause Affidavit obtained by The Sun and dated February 18, Detective Ron Ball described how Gibb told cops the doomsday couple asked her to lie and say she was minding JJ.

The last time she had seen the little boy was when Vallow informed her JJ had turned into a "zombie" and that a "dark spirit" inhabited his body.

"While the 'dark spirit' inhabits the host body, the person’s true spirit goes into 'limbo' and is stuck there until the host body is physically killed," Vallow told Gibb, the Rexburg detective wrote in the affidavit.

"As such, death of the physical body is seen as the mechanism by which the body’s original spirit can be released from limbo."

Daybell appeared in court on Wednesday and was hit with two additional felony counts of conspiracy to commit destruction, alteration or concealment of evidence.

The charges came days after investigators searched his home for clues.

The doomsday author was arrested last month and pleaded not guilty to two initial felony charges of destruction, alteration, or concealment of evidencem, which are different from the newer ones against him.
