AN Amazon worker has been left stunned after winning the National Lottery – scooping £10,000 every month for the next 30 years.

Dean Weymes, 24, couldn't believe his eyes when he matched five balls and the Life Ball to win the Set For Life top prize.

And the young man of Peterborough said he didn't think twice – immediately quitting his job to follow his passion of script writing.

He's the fourth person to win the Set for Life jackpot after it was introduced on March 18 this year.

The young man told Peterborough Telegraph: "It is just incredible. I am 24 and I am now literally set for life!

"After discovering my win I knew exactly what I was going to do next. Getting £10,000 every month allows me to start working through my bucket list.

"I have always wanted to fulfil my dream to become a script writer and this now allows me the freedom to do it. I didn’t have to give it a second thought – I quit my current role so I can begin to work on the job I have always wanted.

"It is an incredible feeling that I will be getting £10,000 every month for 30 years – I literally am living the dream!"

He had previously needed to work shifts and weekends, forced to put his passion for screen writing on the backburner.

Immediately celebrating the life-changing win, he added: "It was always my dream to become a script writer. I love films and the theatre and now I can do something with this! I can turn my passion into a job – something I never thought I could do!"

TOP PRIZE: How Set For Life works

Monday 18 March 2019 saw the inaugural draw of Camelot’s newest National Lottery game.

The jackpot is an annuity-style prize — a guaranteed 'fat salary' of £10,000 every month for 30 years.

While the way the top prize is paid out is new to National Lottery players, the way to play Set For Life is straightforward.

You pick five main numbers from 1 to 47, and one ‘Life Ball’ from 1 to 10, for the chance to win fixed prizes – with everything from the top prize of £10,000 a month for 30 years*, to the 2nd prize of £10,000 a month for one year* if you get all the main numbers and not the ‘Life Ball’, to £5 for matching just two main numbers.

*Subject to prize capping – more information about prize capping will be available in the Set For Life Games Procedures.

He has already booked a trip to Disneyland Paris with his family.

It comes after a UK ticketholder successfully claimed a £123million EuroMillions jackpot – the third biggest win ever.

The new multi-millionaire chose to remain anonymous.

The owner of the winning ticket matched all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars – with the winning numbers 25, 27, 39, 42 and 46, with Lucky Stars 11 and 12.

Lotto organisers had put out a frantic appeal to the lucky punter to come forward amid fears they didn't realise they had won.

The single UK ticket holder's newly won fortune will catapult them into the Sunday Times Rich List of the 1,000 wealthiest people living in the UK or with British business links.

Other big winners who have gone public include Colin and Chris Weir, who won £161million on the EuroMillions in 2011.

Adrian Bayford and his ex-wife Gillian also won £148million on the EuroMillions in 2012 – but split 15 months after their win.

Frances and Patrick Connolly also won £114.9million in the New Year's Day EuroMillions jackpot in 2019.

The couple were the first of now four big wins this year – with Ade Goodchild making £71million in March and an anonymous ticket-holder bagged £35.2million in April.
