WENDY Williams addressed her "year from hell" on her talk show this week – urging haters to "change the channel."

The outspoken TV personality also expressed her "love" for fans on yesterday's episode for supporting her through all her divorce and addiction drama.

Wendy discussed some of her trials and tribulations on the "Hot Topics" segment on Friday morning and reflected on the difficulties of the past year.

She said: "It’s the closing of a decade! Do you realize we’ve been together, everybody, for a decade plus?

"We’ve seen everything! I love you all, you are the voice inside my head. I love my people, I love this show."

She also took the opportunity to blast haters who say she spends too much time discussing her own personal issues on the show.

“And, if you don’t like that I talk about my personal life or whatever, then change the channel — I don’t care,” Wendy said.

“It’s been a year from hell and now I’m back!” she continued to the delight of the cheering audience.

And, if you don’t like that I talk about my personal life or whatever, then change the channel — I don’t care.

Wendy certainly hasn't had the easiest time: Hollywood Life reports she spent February and March living in a sober home in New York for addiction.

In April, she ended her 22-year marriage to her husband and manager Kevin Hunter Sr amid cheating allegations and filed for divorce.

It also came to light Kevin reportedly fathered a child with his longtime mistress, Sharina Hudson.

Although Wendy encouraged haters to switch off The Wendy Williams Show, she's certainly able to dish out criticism.

She this week came under fire from the popstar Madonna after Wendy labelled the 61-year-old singer a "grandma."

Queen Madge reportedly hit back, saying Wendy was ageist – despite being only a few years older than her.

Wendy also blasted singing sensation Lizzo for wearing a cut out black dress to a basketball game saying it was "strip club" attire.
