Vikings season six will be final series of the Michael Hirst-created drama. The final season will see the sons of Ragnar Lothbrok (played by Travis Fimmel) go head to head over the throne of Kattegat and will feature a set of new enemies from the East, led by Prince Oleg of Novgorod (Danila Kozlovsky).

How to watch Vikings season 6, episode 3 online

Episodes of Vikings air first on the History channel in the US and arrive on Amazon Prime (outside of the US) the following day.

The first two episodes were released in an epic double bill last week (Wednesday, December 4) but from this week onwards, the remaining eight episodes will air weekly.

Vikings will then embark on a midseason break, returning in the latter half of 2020 with the final 10 episodes.

Episode three is titled ‘Ghosts, Gods and Running Dogs’ and will see Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) prepare for the invasion of Ivar the Boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen).

History has released a short trailer for the upcoming episode, which also reveals Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) will attack king Olaf (Steven Berkoff)

The synopsis for episode three reads: “Lagertha is forced to take action;

“In Kiev, although Oleg continues to be friendly, Ivar is aware of the threat which Oleg poses to the vulnerable young heir to the throne;

“Bjorn has answered the call and come to the aid of an old enemy.”

Viking season six, episode three, will air on the History Channel at 9pm ET (Eastern Time) and 8pm CT (Central Time) on Wednesday, December 11.

History network subscribers will also be able to stream the episode live and on-demand via History.com.

Hulu + Live TV customers were also able to stream the episode live online.

To become a Hulu + Live TV customer, after a week-long trial, you can subscribe to the package from $44.99 per month.

Unfortunately, Vikings is not available to watch via Netflix in the US.

Vikings season six, episode three will air this Thursday (November 12) on Amazon Prime Video.

To watch the series, you can subscribe to Amazon Prime from £7.99 per month after a 30-day free trial.

Amazon Prime has no set launch time, with episodes of Vikings usually dropping on the streaming service at midnight.

The previous five seasons of Vikings have dropped between 12am and 5am, so season six will follow suit.

Unfortunately, Vikings is not available to watch on Netflix.

However, Netflix recently announced it will be home to the spin-off series Vikings: Valhalla, so perhaps the original series will be available the streaming giant in the future.

For now, the previous five seasons of Vikings are available to stream on the Amazon Prime if you need to catch up.

Vikings airs Wednesdays on History US and Thursdays on Amazon Prime
