The third season of Top Boy cannot come soon enough for fans of the Ashley Walters-led drama. The first two seasons, now renamed Top Boy: Summerhouse, were aired on Channel 4 but now the revamped third series will be distributed worldwide as a Netflix Original. While a number of familiar faces return to the hard-hitting drama, there are several new actors joining the cast.
Who is in the cast of Top Boy season 3?
Dushane – Ashley Walters
After appearing in all eight episodes of the first two seasons, Walter reprises the role of Dushane for the new series.
Dushanbe was the main man of his block of flats, running his own drug ring and committing unspeakable crimes on those who stood in his way.
Walters is back after stints on Sky One’s Bulletproof and BBC drama In The Dark.
Sully – Kane Robinson
Rapper Kane Robinson, also known as Kano, is back as Dushane’s right-hand man, Sully.
Sully and Dushane didn’t always see eye-to-eye but season three will see them team up again following the former’s release from prison.
Robinson has been focusing on his music since season two ended and even has a new album out now, Hoodies All Summer.
Jamie – Micheal Ward
The newest and baddest gang leader on the scene during Sully and Dushane’s absence is Jamie.
Played by newcomer Micheal Ward, Jamie’s determined not to give up territory or revenue to the returning pair.
Ward landed the role after impressing in BBC’s The A List.
Jermaine – Ashley Thomas
Another returning cast member is rapper and actor Ashley Thomas.
He played Sully’s cousin Jermaine in season two and now he’ll be back for the third run.
Away from the Netflix drama, he’s landed roles in HBO’s The Night Of, Black Mirror and CBS’ Salvation.
Dris – Shone Romulus
One of Sully and Dushane’s most trustworthy and loyal dealers Dris return in the new series.
Dris struggled with the dark underbelly of the crime trade while balancing life with his young child.
Romulus recently starred in British thrillers The Intent and No Shade.
Kit – Kadeem Ramsay
A new addition to the cast in Top Boy season three is Kadeem Ramsay as Kit.
The young actor plays Kit throughout the new series.
Prior to Top Boy, fans may recognise him from Netflix Original series Sex Education.
Aaron – Hope Ikpoku
Another newbie in the third season is Hope Ipkoku.
This is the actor’s first major role although he’s already signed up to appear opposite Walters on the next series of Bulletproof.
