Tina and Bobby will be returning to ITV on August 5 and fans are looking forward to seeing the football hero return. The three-part drama series is based on the real-life story of Tina and Bobby Moore, and it was inspired by Tina’s memoirs. The show first aired back in 2017 and fans are wondering who is in the cast.
Who is in the cast of Tina and Bobby on ITV?
Tina Dean – Michelle Keegan
Our Girl star Michelle Keegan played the lead role of Tina Dean, who was considered to be the original WAG.
She was a secretary when she met Bobby Moore and the series is based on her memoirs about the power couple.
Her memoirs were called Bobby Moore: By The Person Who Knew Him Best.
The couple married in June 1960 and they separated after 25 years of marriage.
Keegan is known for her roles in Coronation Street, Brassic and Ordinary Lies.
Bobby Moore – Lorne Macfadyen
The former England captain is played by Lorne Macfadyen and the footballer became a hero after the 1966 World Cup win.
He had been diagnosed with cancer two years before the World Cup, but thankfully made a recovery.
Moore played 108 times for his country and he was also known for playing for West Ham.
He retired from professional football in 1978 and he and Tina had a daughter and son together.
Scottish actor Macfadyen is best known for his roles in Grantchester, The Level and Shetland.
Betty – Patsy Kensit
Betty is Tina’s mother and the pair were very close, with some believing they could be sisters.
Kensit is a British actress and model who starred in soaps like Emmerdale and Holby City.
She started her acting career in commercials at the age of four and has plenty of film credits under her belt.
Kensit is also known for her roles in Hanover Street, Twenty-One and she also took part in the 2010 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Doris ‘Doss’ Moore – Clare Burt
Doris Moore is Bobby Moore’s mother who was married to Robert Moore, and they gave birth to Bobby in Barking, Essex.
His mother was known for being kind and supportive of his footballing career.
Clare Burt, who plays his mother, is an English actress who is best known for her role in The Bill.
She also starred in The Salisbury Poisonings, London Road, and she is famous for her stage roles.
Neal Barry is starring as Bobby’s father and Doris’s husband – Big Bob.
Ron Greenwood – Louis Hilyer
Ron Greenwood was the former manager of West Ham United, between 1961 and 1974.
He was also an England football player in the 1950s, going on to manage England after his stint with West Ham.
Louis Hilyer, who plays Ron, is an English actor known for his roles in Downton Abbey and The Bill.
Other cast members include Jessica Madsen as Tina’s cousin and William Troughton as footballer Geoff Hurst.
Fans have been reminiscing over the series and Keegan tweeted back in 2017: “That’s a wrap. Tina and Bobby – what a story, what a journey, what a series.
“It’s been an absolute honour. Thank you for all your support.”
