Katie Thurston’s “Bachelorette” season will start on June 7, 2021, and fans are more than ready to meet the men who’ll be vying for Katie’s heart. While their personalities are still mysterious for the most part, fans are scouring the internet for any crumbs of information about Katie’s suitors.
One of the men in question, per Stylecaster, is Aaron Clancy, a 26-year-old from Walnut, Calif. Aaron’s Facebook page appears to have been deactivated, and Reality Steve didn’t list Aaron’s job when sharing the list of Katie’s “Bachelorette” hopefuls. But despite the lack of public information about him, a number of “Bachelor” Nation fans are already comparing Aaron to another “Bachelorette” contestant.
That’s right: Fans think Aaron is the spitting image of Dale Moss, who got engaged to Clare Crawley on “The Bachelorette” in 2020, only to call things off six months later. “Are we sure that’s not Dale’s cousin?” one fan tweeted. “BDE: Big Dale Energy,” another person wrote. Here’s what to know about Aaron, aside from the fact that he looks like Dale.
Aaron is a huge "Pacific Rim" fan
A quick search for Aaron Clancy reveals that the “Bachelorette” hopeful was on the swim team at the University of California, San Diego, and he was on the swim team at Mt. San Antonio College before that. But hidden in Aaron’s profile on the UC San Diego athletics site is the fact that Aaron’s favorite movie is “Pacific Rim,” or it was when he was in college, at least.
Other fun nuggets from the athletics website include Aaron’s love of Zedd, In-N-Out Burger (he is from California, after all!), and how much he looks up to his parents. If Katie and Aaron make it to hometowns, she’ll likely meet both of them, along with his older and younger brothers.
As for his job, Aaron’s LinkedIn page shows that he’s an account executive at a company in San Diego called Health IQ. (His LinkedIn also features a PDF of his resume, and if that’s his current contact information, he should probably take that off the internet before the new “Bachelorette” season starts.) From his swimming background to his movie taste, there’s a lot for Aaron to discuss with Katie!
