Season 5 of The Last Kingdom is highly anticipated by fans. Viewers can’t wait to see the final season of the series in all its glory. Luckily, some of the people working on the show, including actors, have shared content that has kept fans intrigued.
Timothy Innes, who plays King Edward, recently shared a shot of himself as the character from the upcoming season.
King Edward in ‘The Last Kingdom’
King Edward is the King of Wessex as the son of the late King Alfred (David Dawson) and Lady Aelswith (Eliza Butterworth). Edward is trying to find his place as King after his father, but they are large shoes to fill, and it hasn’t been smooth sailing. It’s actually been quite hard and challenging for him. We’ll have to see what season 5 holds for this king who’s had to make deals with the Danes to promote peace.
Timothy Innes shared a photo of himself as King Edward from season 5 of ‘The Last Kingdom’
On August 19, 2021, Innes shared a photo of himself on Instagram as King Edward in the new season. It’s a shot from the side, and a white sky can be seen surrounding the monarch as he wears his crown on his head complete with his hair and beard. He wears warrior attire, including chainmail on his arm. He looks rather serious in the sideways shot, and it’s unclear exactly what’s going on.
Innes captioned the post: “New First-class stamp. @thelastkingdom #thelastkingdom #TLK5.” He also gives credit to the photographer of the shot, Marcell Piti, who is the photographer on the show, who shared the full size of the photo on Instagram.
