As Bradley Walsh reminded viewers of the show that Paul Sinha is the 11th best quizzer in the world, it seemed to ring true tonight. But despite the Sinnerman’s incredible talent, viewers thought the questions the contestants got were just too difficult.
All the contestants stuck with the cash builder offers that they had received, even with Paul offering a very tempting offer of £76,000 to one contestant, Mish, who turned it down.
Up first was foster care support worker Naomi, a self confessed Harry Potter fan.
Paul quickly mocked her, saying “You’re a natural Ravenclaw and I’m a grown adult”
To her delight, a Harry Potter themed question came up in her cash builder round.

Things were not to be, as Paul quickly caught her, with Bradley telling her to “Keep up the good work, what you do is inspiring.”
Another contestant, Ginny, enthusiastically told Bradley that she had “been in a quiz league for 30 years”.
However, she struggled, and got multiple questions wrong against The Chaser, leading to some viewers to joke about her quizzing credentials.
“If Ginny is a pro quizzer, then I’m Beyonce” joked one viewer.
Another shared how she seemed to foreshadow her own fate.
“Always fatal to say you’re a quizzer in a quiz league!” said another.
Two contestants, Mish and Dan, made it into the final chase, but struggled to perform as they only got 11 questions correct in total, after a series of blunders.
The pair couldn’t help but laugh at their efforts, as they realised it would be near impossible for them to win the jackpot.

Several users on Twitter reacted to the poor performance, with one calling them the “hardest set of questions ever #TheChase”.
“Hard questions those,” echoed another.
“They will be out in seconds now!” said a third.
True enough, the pair were caught by The Chaser with 58 seconds to spare.
Paul told the contestants that they “played well” and was complimentary of their performance.
However, some fans of the show were less sympathetic.

“They deserved to loser, they were rubbish!” stated one.
Another shared: “58 seconds left… then again 11 is hardly a mountain for him to climb.”
As the show came to a close, Bradley reminded the contestants of Paul’s abilities, and how they were at a massive disadvantage having only returned two players.
“Damage is done when we lose players… he is one of the top players in the world.” Bradley told the pair.
Paul remained confident in his own quizzing abilities, saying “They needed four back, its as simple as that, none of them were outstanding quizzers, but they all had their own areas of knowledge.”
The Chase continues tomorrow at 5pm on ITV.
