Hannah Brown’s Bachelorette season finale certainly was dramatic, just as Chris Harrison promised. She gave her final rose to controversial contestant Jed Wyatt just before learning that he came on the show with a girlfriend.

Initially, Wyatt attempted to downplay his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Haley Stevens, by saying they were never serious despite frequently exchanging “I love you”s and going on trips together.

But he made an appearance during “After The Final Rose” to apologize to Brown and everyone else he hurt.

“First and foremost, from the bottom of my heart, I want you to know that I’m sorry. Apparently, they’ve already shown where I half apologized but, especially in hindsight, now that I’ve had time to review myself and my past and my behaviors towards not only you but other people, I fully see that I wasn’t the best that I could be,” said Wyatt.

He continued: “And by lacking details to you, the things that you deserve, and the things that you want, it kind of–not kind of–it ruined what we found here in a place that I never would have expected to find love like this with someone that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. And I know that you felt the same and I’m sorry that I took away that experience from you. I’m sorry that this has hurt your family, your friends, Bachelor Nation, everyone, my family, I’m sorry. I’m responsible for this. I will own up to it all day.”

How Tyler C. feels about Jed Wyatt now

Amid ending her engagement to Wyatt, Brown has a drink date coming up with her runner-up, Tyler Cameron.

Cameron says he feels his friend could have handled the situation a lot better than he did.

“Yeah, I’m just very disappointed in him, in the whole situation. My heart aches for Hannah because when it was down to me, Peter, and Jed, I felt like she was in great hands. As soon as it was just me and Jed, I thought, Okay, if it’s not me, Jed’s going to be the one that takes care of her,” he recently told Glamour.

He went on: “I feel like his feelings for her were genuine, but I was just disappointed to see all this coming out. I don’t think he handled things the right way, and his initial intentions for the show weren’t the right intentions. I was just disappointed overall.”

Tyler C. didn’t know about Jed Wyatt’s ex-girlfriend during filming

Hi y’all. Several of you have reached out with messages and questions. Please know I’m not able to answer right now, but as soon as I’m able to, I will. •Until then, I ask that you please understand how much the actions being taken towards myself, my family, the men on the show, and above all, Hannah, are affecting all of our mental and physical health. •It goes beyond what is said online. Threatening letters and phone calls have been sent to our homes. My parents and sister are being verbally attacked in public. I beg you to remember what seems like a harmless action is damaging to real people. •I want to thank all of you who have reached out or reserved judgement until I am able to speak openly and I can only ask for your patience and kindness until then.

Cameron went on to say that, during filming, he didn’t see any red flags from Wyatt.

I had no idea about any of his past, so this was all news to me. It was news to all of us. We were pretty blindsided by it, just like you guys were.”

Glamour also asked Cameron if he’s spoken to Wyatt and, if he were to, what he’d say to him.

“No, not much. I’d just tell him that I’m disappointed, and I hope he can start taking steps in the right direction. This can be a learning lesson for him,” he said.
