STACEY Solomon has said she's working on a "special project" with her best friend, the social media cleaning influencer Mrs Hinch.

The Loose Women panellist and Mrs Hinch, aka Sophie Hinchcliffe, have become firm friends in recent months.

She shared a screengrab of a FaceTime call with Sophie, writing: "On my way to meet one of my favourite humans @mrshinchhome to get started on a very special project we are working on together."

Stacey also revealed that Sophie was wearing a jumper she had made saying it made her "so happy".

The pair became pals earlier in 2019 when Stacey direct-messaged Mrs Hinch to check on her.

Stacey was said to have become a huge support after messaging Sophie to ask if she was OK as she revealed she had been targeted by trolls in the wake of her social media fame and the birth of her baby.

"I found myself pouring my heart out to her by message (?) asking how she handles the public eye with a newborn," Sophie revealed.

"And what she said to me was 'right I’m coming round for a cuppa!' A cuppa?! I couldn’t believe it! Stacey Solomon in my house?"

She added that the pair "ate junk food, fed our babies & talked" and she felt like "a huge weight" had been lifted afterwards.

Their families have since became entwined, and in late October mum of three Stacey shared several pictures of her five month-old boy Rex with 29-year-old Sophie's four-month old Ronnie.

Ronnie was wearing a grey babygro with the slogan "My Best Friend Rex" and an arrow pointing to his pal.

And Rex was wearing a matching one saying: "My Best Friend Ronnie."

The pair of  seemed thrilled to be hanging out together as they smiled for their mums while lying on a playmat.

Stacey wrote in the accompanying post: "Play date @mrshinchhome They melt my heart… Had such a lovely day with these two. Their chunky legs and cheeky smiles.

"I can’t wait for them to be diving into ball pits and munching on soggy breadsticks together."

She continued: "I feel so lucky to have found a true friend for me and even luckier to have a friend for Rex to grow up with."
