STACEY Solomon has had a laugh at the expense of her injured husband Joe Swash saying his head bandage makes him looks like Mother Theresa.

The Loose Women panellist recorded a video of herself poking fun at Joe as he crashed out on the couch after a day of festivities for her son's 12th birthday.

"I think it's fair to say it's all been a bit much for Mother Theresa today," Stacey giggled as she panned the camera across to a sleeping Joe.

Stacey, 30, has said Joe's head bandage makes him look like a nun since he was forced to start wearing it after a horrific accident while rehearsing for Dancing on Ice.

Joe, 38, was almost ruled out of continuing to compete on the ice skating competition show after he fell and hit his head during rehearsals.

But the injury did not stop the former EastEnders star from going on to win the 2020 series with partner Alex Murphy.

Joe was so tuckered on Saturday afternoon after they hosted an impromptu birthday barbecue for Stacey's 12-year-old son Zach.

The couple invited some family and friends over to their house in Essex for the "freezing cold" barbecue.

Stacey had to come up with alternative plans to celebrate Zach's birthday after their trip to Butling's was cancelled due to the coronavirus and Prime Minister Boris Johnson asked people to cancel non-essential travel.

The family braved the cold because "that what's Zach’s asked for for his birthday".

Stacey went all out to make sure Zach had a great birthday at home, including recruiting his brothers Leighton, 9, and Rex, 10 months to get up early and help with preparations.

Massive balloons in the shape of video game consoles wished the almost teen a happy birthday, while Stacey went to the effort of separating the orange and purple Smarties, because they were Zach's favourites.

Stacey was also busy tidying the house ahead of the arrival of some more family members trying to vacuuming her rug, but baby Rex kept trying to climb on it.

"Getting ready for some family to come over, and quickly discovering Hoover lines and 10 month olds do not go well together," she wrote on her Instagram story.

Meanwhile, Stacey has been putting plans in place ahead of home-schooling her two eldest sons.

She took to Instagram to reveal she was preparing for the coming weeks when her boys would be out of school amid the ongoing worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.

“Going to make a template of a timetable so the boys have a bit of structure,” she shared.

“Not starting until 10am and the pink squares are mum time,” she added, with laughing emojis.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed on Wednesday that Britain’s schools would be ordered to close from Friday with all exams cancelled in the war on coronavirus.

The shutdown, until summer at the earliest, is the Government’s most drastic move yet to slow down the pandemic.
