Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) was left out in the cold in tonight’s Emmerdale, as nemesis Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) successfully destroyed his relationship with Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton).

The drama kicked off when Cain overheard a private chat between Al and ex-fiancée Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade), after the former flames shared a kiss in last night’s episode.

Priya and Al amicably agreed to put the moment behind them, as Priya regretted making the move and Al declared that he wanted to be with Kerry. But unbeknown to Al, Cain was lurking and the situation played right into his hands.

Kerry was already feeling insecure after Chas planted the idea of Al straying, and when she noticed him constantly checking his phone, she became convinced he was cheating with Belle.

When she hacked into Al’s laptop and saw an email he sent to Belle about candles and a tent in the woods, Kerry put two and two together and came up with about a hundred. To be fair to her, the message didn’t sound overly professional, despite the fact it was all about setting up a relaxed atmosphere for the wellness influencer Al and Belle were meeting.

Kerry realised her mistake when she turned up to confront the pair – but not before she insulted unimpressed potential client Carrie.

Later, Kerry headed to the Woolpack in a happier mood as she spotted Belle and Al engaged in the resurrected meeting with Carrie – but at the bar, Cain took great pleasure in telling Kerry that she had simply got the identity of Al’s other woman wrong.

Having heard about his dalliance with Priya, Kerry swiftly poured a pint over Al, leaving Cain smirking which did not go unnoticed by a soggy Al.

While Belle was left upset over the subsequent loss of her business deal and confronted Cain, Al was thrown out of the house by Kerry.

With Al standing on the street with nowhere else to go, Cain drove by and advised him to get the message that he wasn’t wanted.

What will Al do next as he contemplates his next move?
