Christine Brown’s decision to part ways with her husband of more than 20 years, Kody Brown, didn’t exactly shock Sister Wives fans. In fact, they saw the split coming from a mile away. Still, viewers have spent the last week trying to pinpoint the moment when things truly went bad. Some fans are convinced that Kody and Christine were unhappy early in their marriage. Others are confident that a battle over Coyote Pass was the final straw. The latter theory appears to have merit.
Brown family followers think the split from Kody Brown was caused by a dispute over Coyote Pass
One of the family followers’ working theories is that Christine decided to leave the Brown family behind because of disagreements over Coyote Pass. The family had spent the better part of several Sister Wives seasons battling over the property. TLC was never been shy about capturing the family’s most tense moments, either. Fans theorize that everything came to a head when Christine made it clear that she had no desire to move onto the land. Her goal of moving back to Utah seemed to seal the deal.
Fans of the series may remember Christine melting down when the rest of the family shut down her idea of moving back to Utah. According to family followers, Christine’s emotion might have been less about Utah and more about the idea of living close to her sister wives again for the first time in several years.
Christine Brown seemed to enjoy her autonomy once she got some
While the move to Flagstaff might have been a bad idea for various reasons, Brown family followers think one positive came out of the move. The family’s indecisiveness regarding the property they purchased helped move things along, too. Fans across several social media platforms note that Christine seemed to flourish when she lived away from the rest of the Brown family. Most importnatly, she appeared to enjoy operating her home as an independent entity.
Family followers theorize that once Christine was not in direct contact with Kody and her sister wives daily, she recognized the importance of her independence and freedom. If correct, that would also explain why she was so viscerally opposed to the notion of moving onto the property. Christine appeared against both the idea of building one big house and the idea of a community of homes.
What will happen to Christine Brown’s plot of land now?
The parcel that the Brown family bought in 2018 was broken down into four separate plots. Each wife owns a parcel with Kody Brown. The Brown family claimed it was to ensure all things were equal within their plural marriage. Now, though, fans can’t help but wonder what Christine will do with the plot she owns. After all, she has no use for it now that she’s left Flagstaff to settle down back in Utah.
According to property records, Christine owned a home in Flagstaff alone. She is a partial owner of one parcel, but Kody isn’t the only other person on the deed. Both Kody and Robyn Brown coown the parcel with Christine. While Christine has placed her house on the market, it doesn’t look like she’s made any final decisions regarding the property. At least nothing has been made public yet.
