RICHARD Madeley has revealed a spooky incident that left him feeling "strange" after he saw a ghostly figure.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 65, discussed the paranormal encounter with CBBC guests Dick and Dom who are starring in Celebrity Ghost Trip on E4.

The host claimed that he saw a "very pale" face in the window of an upstairs room, initially believing that someone had broken into his home.

He said: "Everyone’s got a ghost story. I was just going around the floor here today and everyone’s got a little ghost story.

"Tell you my recent one, I was sitting in the garden in the summer, I’m having a little dose after doing the morning show.

"Everything’s fine, looking at the paper and I just have this instinct to look up at the window that overlooks our garden from the house and in the window on the top floor of the house was a white face looking down at me, not moving, but just staring at me."

The terrified star explained that he raced indoors to check that his wife Judy Finnigan was safe.

He continued: ‘"I thought, oh my God, we’ve got an intruder, someone’s broken into the house.

"So I went in and checked that Judy was on the ground floor – which she was – I went upstairs, and there was nobody there.

"I definitely saw a face looking at me from the window."

He then proceeded to ask Dick and Dom if they thought he’d seen a ghost to which Dick replied, “If you’ve experienced it, then you do believe in it.”

Richard then asked co-host Ranvir Singh if she had experienced any ghostly encounters.

She revealed: "It’s about my dad, it might be a bit too much for half term. It was after my dad died, my mum said she saw him at the window, knocking at the window."

Celebrity Ghost Trip started last night with the first five celebrity pairings including Kerry Katona & Lilly McFadden, Dick & Dom, Chloe Veitch & Nicole O’Brien, David Potts & Callum Izzard and Graft & Sian Gabbidon.

The show is available on E4 and will be hosted by telly favourite Brendan Sheerin.
