Richard Madeley headed up today’s instalment of Good Morning Britain alongside Charlotte Hawkins.

And the presenting stalwart, 63, certainly made his mark during his guest spot on the programme.

He got into a fiery debate with Conservative MP Rory Stewart, after he admitted to ‘making up’ that 80% of the British public supported Theresa May’s Brexit deal.

Richard then had Britain’s Got Talent in his sights, and laid into Amanda Holden over her dramatic reaction to scary magic act, The Haunting.

Amanda, 48, said “F***” after being left terrified by the spooky trick, shocking the studio audience and viewers at home.

But Richard accused the blonde bombshell of being inauthentic with her reaction to the moment.

When Amanda returned to her seat on the judging panel, she apologised for dropping the F-bomb.

She said: “I just really want to apologise if I said anything. I said a really terrible word.

“I know there are kids watching, I know my kids are watching, so massive apologies. I can honestly say I feel terrified.”

But some viewers questioned whether her dramatic moment was ‘put on’ – including Madeley.

Rewatching the incident on GMB today, Richard said: “Surely she was acting?

“She couldn’t have been that scared when she knew what was coming.”

Fans also seemingly rumbled the magic act after a bit of an awkward technical mishap.

Viewers pointed out that the trick had accidentally been exposed by the cameraman.
