Ever since its premiere on November 8, NCIS: LA fans have been tuning in every Sunday to see what drama lies ahead for the likes of Sam Hanna (played by LL Cool J), Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and the rest of the team. And they haven’t been disappointed so far, as the 12th season hasn’t let the filming complications caused as a result of the coronavirus pandemic hinder the action on-screen. However, those expecting the drama to come thick and fast again this Sunday will have to wait as CBS won’t air episode four.

Titled ‘Cash Flow’, season 12, episode four of NCIS: Los Angeles is instead tipped to air on Sunday, December 6 instead, according to Futon Critic.

And while CBS hasn’t detailed specific reasons for the pushback in the show’s typical weekly schedule, it looks like production timings are behind the delay.

After all, the drama, like the flagship series and its New Orleans spin-off, all had to adjust greatly following the pandemic, with strict filming guidelines and shortened episode counts.

Similarly, NCIS: New Orleans season seven, which normally airs alongside LA on Sundays has also been pushed back.

NCIS season 18, which recently aired its highly-anticipated 400th episode, will also be delayed until next Tuesday.

And following the scheduling shake-up, it didn’t take long for fans to vent their frustrations.

One said on Twitter: “Ohhh, no new ep next week, probably due to the holiday.

“I guess this will be a very light TV week for me with all my shows taking holiday breaks. #NCISLA.”

While a second echoed: “No preview? #NCISLA must be off for a while.”

According to CBS.com, the network will instead air an episode of 60 Minutes at 7:30pm followed by The Neighbourhood.

But a first-look at episode four teases it may be worth the wait as it addresses a highly-anticipated storyline between Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Anna (Bar Paly).

Cash Flow will see the romance between the two intensify as they share a smooch.

But will they be on their way to a happily ever after or does heartbreak lie ahead?

Elsewhere in the episode, Kensi and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) face their own challenges.

With the two on the verge of purchasing their own home, it appears the obstacles in their way may prove too much.

As Deeks worries about the future of his job, the two struggle to come to a decision as to whether to go ahead with the purchase or not.

And, of course, Cash Flow brings an all-new case to the team.

This time, the body of a murdered Navy reservist is discovered by a group of thieves.

In an unlikely pairing, Hanna, Callen and co work with the burglars to try and get to the bottom of the case.

NCIS: LA season 12 continues Sunday, December 6 on CBS.
