Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) often refers to himself as the devil, with many of his close companions including Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia) brusing it off as his odd sense of humour. However, despite his openness about being the ruler of Hell, only Chloe Decker (played by Lauren German) and Linda Martin (Rachael Harris) know the truth. Now, Ella Lopez star Aimee Garcia has opened up about what would happen should her character find out the truth.

LAPD forensic scientist Ella Lopez has had a unique sibling like bond with the devil since she arrived in season two of the Netflix show.

With the character being so devoted to God, their relationship has always been highly ironic.

Now, Ella star Aimee Garcia has revealed she wouldn’t want Ella to find out the truth.

However, despite being a woman of God, she doesn’t think Ella would cut him off.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said: “Because she’s such a woman of faith and if you believe in God, you have to believe in the Devil, and if you believe in good, you have to believe in evil.

“I think she would hug him and she would have a lot of questions.

“She would ask if they could go out for a beer and really clarify some stuff for her.”

This seems to be quite mild reaction for someone who had just found out their friend is the real life Satan.

However, the star was quick to remind fans that Lucifer is actually a fallen angel.

She added: “What I love about her is she is like a real-life angel, she’s not judgmental.

“She gives people the benefit of the doubt, she sees the best in people and I think in the same way she would be consistent like that, even with the Devil, because as we’ve heard her say before, the Devil is a fallen angel,” Garcia said.

“And she specifically said, ‘If you were ever an angel, even a fallen angel, it means you can’t possibly be all bad.”

However, Ella won’t find out about Lucifer in season five should the actress get her way.

She added: “I love that she doesn’t know because she can say things like, ‘Oh, that’s right you’re the devil. A.k.a. method actor.’

“So, I don’t want to take that fun away from her, especially now that Chloe knows.

“I love when he’s like, ‘You know, my dad, God.’ And Ella can be like, ‘Oh right, your dad, God.’”

Moreover, the actress added that the show would miss the light-hearted relationship as the devil’s time on Earth gets heavier.

She added: “I just think it’s so fun that she can rib him as just being an unemployed actor that can’t catch a break and needs a hug and is like this really sensitive guy.

“I love that he’s one of the most powerful celestial beings in the history of the world and she’s like, ‘He’s really sensitive you guys.’”
