LOVE Island contestant Ollie Williams has shocked fans by filming a video of himself shooting a deer to put in his 'larder'.

Ollie, 23, quit the ITV2 reality show just three days into the winter series amid a storm of allegations that he was a blood-thirsty trophy hunter.

The posh 23-year-old told his fellow contestants he was leaving because he missed his ex-girlfriend.

His exit from the show, however, came after a petition was launched online to have the millionaire removed from the villa following the emergence of trophy-hunting pictures.

At the time, he insisted: "I did not shoot any of the animals shown in the photographs, nor have I ever shot as a trophy hunter."

Ollie has now stunned followers by recording a short film about how to shoot for venison.

The footage starts with Ollie and his friend driving to a gun shop. He declares: "We are currently off to get some bullets!"

Ollie has then recorded a clip inside the shop and tells his followers: "I always end up walking away from here with something I don't need…ie, a gun."

Once at home, Ollie goes on to talk about what bullets he likes to use, saying: "When it strikes the animal, it tends to inflict a lot of damage and tends to cause a quick and painless, death. It's obviously very humane, which is the sort of thing we are looking at."

Ollie's pal later films the Love Island contestant walking into the countryside, dressed head to toe in camouflage with a gun slung over his shoulder.

After he lies down in the bushes, he fires his gun and the screen goes black as a heartbeat can be heard pulsating.

Ollie then shows himself hanging a dead venison up inside a giant fridge.

He said: "I wasn't sure whether or not in the first video I should show the shot.

"The shot was successful and we've got some venison for the larder. That's my kind of stockpiling for you."

Ollie has uploaded his video to both YouTube and Instagram but hasn't gone down well with all his followers.

While some have commended his efforts for "good management of wild food", others aren't so impressed.

One wrote: "This is disgusting, what kind of person would do this for pleasure."

According to Companies House, Ollie is the sole director of Cornish Sporting Agency, registered at Lanhydrock, Cornwall, which lists the nature of the business as "hunting" and "trapping".

After the winter series of Love Island got underway, many viewers posted messages on social media saying they did not think he deserved his spot in the villa.

Once outside, Ollie insisted in a statement: "I did volunteer to take part in the conservation and anti-poaching programme in Mozambique, a part of which involves old or sick animals being culled. I was there as an observer.

"The Cornish Sporting Agency was set up in 2017 and has never traded.

"I feel very passionately about conservation and will continue to support sustainable conservation causes around the globe.

"These benefit the natural world and the animals which live within it, even if certain elements appear controversial when viewed out of context.

"As I am no longer in Love Island, I will comment no further on this issue."
