LOVE Island fans think that Chloe Burrows was told by TV bosses to choose Aaron Francis because they wanted to get Shannon Singh out and keep Liberty Poole in.

ITV2 viewers were left gobsmacked after Shannon, 22, was dumped from the villa after only two days.

There are plenty of conspiracy theories flying about over Shannon's exit, with some fans suggesting that the former glamour model was the favourite to go, in a bid to save Liberty from being eliminated.

One viewer speculated: "This is such a hot mess. They definitely told her to pick Aaron because they wanted to keep the Jake and Liberty drama going.

"So Shannon was collateral damage. #loveisland"

Another posted: "Shannon gone too early. Liberty and Jake are forcing it. Why did Chloe pick Aaron???"

A third fan shared: "If Chloe picked Jake Liberty would have been kicked off, they only kicked Shannon off because she's not participating."

Meanwhile, another fan was left baffled at Aaron's reasons for picking Shannon in the first place, writing: "Why choose a girl that has no interest in you? So she gets brutally dumped?"

Although Shannon's premature departure blindsided fans, some viewers have predicted that she is set for a dramatic return to Love Island.

Fans of the ITV2 show – including former islander Amy Hart – pointed out Shannon, 22, hasn't been back on social media including Instagram since she was brutally dumped from the Majorca pad.

Amy, 28, wrote on Twitter: "Shannon will get her phone back tomorrow…so if she’s not on her insta in the next few days she’s obvs in another villa."

One viewer wrote: "Stalking Shannon Instagrams to see if she posts anything coz if she doesn’t that means…..SHE WILL BE BACK."

Another agreed, adding: "If she was out out she'd have her phone back straight already especially as its filmed a day in advance at least. She is defo coming back in some way."

Love Island fans were reeling when show favourite Shannon was booted off — but the model insisted she would happily return to the villa when interviewed by The Sun.

Asked last night if she would return, she said: “Yeah, why not? I want to get back on my streaming and I then go on holiday with the girls.

“And then I’ll suss out what to do. It was very short-lived. Surreal. But I’m obviously very grateful I got the opportunity. I’m not coming away fuming from it, I’m coming away grateful.”

Shannon had split from her DJ boyfriend Ben Sterling weeks before she entered the hit dating show.

Since making her debut in the Love Island villa on Monday, Shannon has appeared uninterested in all of the boys, and even brutally snubbed Toby Aromolaran when he tried to snog her as part of a game.

But eagle-eyed viewers have theorised there's more to the snub than meets the eye, with one writing on Reddit: "A story came out a couple of days ago that Shannon had broken up with her DJ ex of about a year to come on the show.

"Following her behaviour on the first 2 episodes of showing zero interest in any of the boys nor participating in the horny devils challenge like the others, I have reason to speculate maybe she didn’t break up with him after all. Thoughts?"

And the speculation quickly gained traction, with one agreeing: "I think she came on here for publicity and has no interest in getting with anyone."

Another echoed: "I think she’s here for clout or publicity more than anything else."
